Sal Filippelli

Sal Filippelli is a Knights of Columbus Field Agent with the Abbate Agency, serving brother Knights and their families in Richmond, Petersburg, Chester, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Sandston, Highland Springs, Ashland, Ladysmith, Bumpass, Rushers Glen, Louisa and Danville Virginia.

Sal has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over two decades, and became an Advisor for the Order in April of 2017. Sal says, “This career provides the opportunity to combine my faith, volunteerism and income all in one. I am able to help my fellow Knights and their families prepare for their financial futures.”

Originally from Queens, New York, Sal earned a BS degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Salisbury State University. He also participated in many certificate programs in sales, sales management, management and operations, HR, recruiting, and Dale Carnegie programs. 

Prior to becoming a Field Agent, Sal enjoyed a 20-year career in the lawn care industry, holding positions in sales management, branch employment coordinator, customer service manager, and retention manager. 

Sal is married to his wife of 34 years, Rosemary, who is in the financial department for Henrico Company. They have four adult children: Nicolas, Jessica, Daniel, and William. Sal and Rosemary are parishioners at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where they volunteer time by participating in many of the church activities and socials. Sal is a member of Fr. Robert W. McDonald Council #395.
